The accommodation is offered in a very quiet, beautiful and secluded area of Shetland 4 miles from Walls and offers three different rooms. Features in the BBC Shetland series, Da Haa Watsness, is a newly renovated property, originally built for the Minister around 1780. It offers plenty of character, but has been sympathetically modernised and is well insulated. There is also a kitchenette and living area for our guests to use.
All bedrooms are upstairs but there are two handrails to assist. The King-size room has its own shower room opposite. There are two further bedrooms, a twin and a double that share a downstairs shower room (max 4 sharing).
If you decide to bring a car to extend your island visit beyond the tour, we have plenty of parking.
Each tour has 2 experienced Guides who live in the house.
As we only take small groups, the tours are flexible to accommodate what you would like to see, where possible. As we are both professional published photographers with over 60 years experience between us, we can assist with getting the best out of your camera if you choose to bring one. The tour in May/June is specifically for photographers so we will spend plenty of time with puffins and wildflowers.

Most guests prefer tours that are 7 days 6 nights at Da Haa. Price is per person and includes transport too and from the airport /Northlink Ferry and each day around the islands. Tours start on the day of arrival before heading to the accommodation. We may need to pick up from the ferry and airport for guests. We collect from Northlink allowing you time for breakfast on the ferry after docking. Packed lunches for 6 days. Breakfast for 6 days. ( Some continental, at the house, some at a restaurant) 6 evening meals. These will be at Restaurants locally so you can choose what you would like. One night we will visit the famous Frankie's Fish and Chip restaurant in Brae. A soft drink is included with each meal and we cover up to 2 courses ( max £30). No Alcohol ( unless you buy it yourself, which is fine) The booking form will offer a section if you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies.

Late Aoril. Shetland Wildlife is just changing with Summer breeding species arriving, early wildflowers, divers and our usual stunning landscapes.
End of May to early June. A great time of year for a photography tour. Splendid orchids, auks, gannets and hopefully some passage migrant birds
August . Beach Tour . Shetland has amazing beaches and we can make sure you visit as many in your stay as possible with some wildllife on the way.
Mid September. Shetland Passage migrants and a good time of year for auroras.
Early October, often a good time of year for unusual species to turn up, can also be a good time for otters and divers
